Fasting...

To all my colleagues and readers... I would like to remind everybody the value of Ramadan, which commemorates the revelation of the Qur’an to prophet Muhammad. At the onset of the holy month, Muslims all over the world start fasting from dawn to dusk daily for 30 days. It teaches Muslims the importance of charity, compassion, peace, justice, mercy, and community. On this holy month we should also remember men and women around the world who are struggling with poverty, war and destitution this Ramadaan and aid them in whatever way we can help.
